What are green smoothies?
A green smoothie is a drink made from a blend of liquids, nutrient-dense green leaves or vegetables, and fruit.
Why do you need green smoothies?
Well besides, being delicious they are filled with nutrients and they promote weight loss.
Green smoothies are a tasty way to get in some highly nutritious vegetables that we would otherwise not get in on a regular basis. Think about veggies like kale, swiss chard, spinach, and broccoli.
These vegetables contain high concentrations of vitamins A, C and K, minerals like calcium, phytochemicals, and much-needed fiber.
Phytochemicals are various biologically active compounds found in plants. Which have antioxidant functions and help to maintain inflammation balance, reduces the risk of certain cancers, and have many health-promoting properties.

People also drink green smoothies to detox their bodies and lose weight.

It doesn’t matter which meals you replace with a smoothie. Make sure you have a good, balanced meal when you do eat. Stay away from processed food and fizzy drinks.
To help you on your way to a healthier, leaner you, we provide you with five recipes for tasty, super healthy smoothies. First, we share a few tricks to making perfect smoothies.
How to make the perfect green smoothie every time?
1. Don’t blend everything in one go. First, blend the greens and water together to make sure there are no bits of leaves in your drink, then add the fruit.
2. Start with the liquid, it’s easier on the blender. So, first put the liquid you’re using in the blender, then add the greens.
3. To avoid awful-tasting smoothies, keep to this ratio: to one part liquid and greens add a part and a half fruit. This should produce a slightly sweet drink depending on the type of fruit you use.
4. You are not limited to water for liquid. Consider using coconut milk, unsweetened yogurt, almond milk or buttermilk as well.
Cold peppermint tea also makes a delicious base for a green smoothie. You can experiment with other cold teas as well.
5. Consider using avocados; they add a wonderful creamy texture to smoothies.
